  • Parashat Ki Tisa Theme
    PART ONE: A developing Yisrael that is given its interconnection through the multiple meanings attached to ש"א - פק"ד - כל"ה . Understanding Torah as it demands עגל and Torah as it rejects it—levels of עגל . A national project as the עגל was a national project on a limited level. The power of שקלי המן and בלעם and the ultimate acceptance of תוהו in Purim.
    With שקלים, the emergent elements are joined into a unity that bears no relationship to the individual elements of rotten selfhood that the “quantum” world of ישראל is composed of. In fact the מדידה-שיקול-מנין is the collapse of the wave function of the lower world into a particular whose potential has now become defined and limited. The שקלים provide for the unified expression without the collapse. This is the incredible importance of this whole idea as anti-Haman! He intends to reduce the nation to its constituents with מקרה וקרי, and the only thing that stands in his way is indeed שקלים! This is the relationship of פור to the entire תיקון and to memory, in פורים and in כיפורים.
    PART TWO: Seeing נערות as the solution not the problem , and the inability to address the נער ישראל as the reason for the עגל in the first place, the same reason as the rejection of תורה שבעל פה! Understanding נערות as the problem and the solution. For children are willing to play, which is the essence of development, taking no cosmic role for the outcome, and so too must the mortal-present, new now, always live within itself without trying to lock the future into current understanding—no מחולות. Two levels of lovemaking: the חביבות ככלה-חסד נעוריך and the cosmic love, כל"ה, whole, ככלותו, that creates the vested evils which are עבודה זרה וזנות. The change in a ברית in which the בלכתך עמנו is entirely different than the פני ילכו (see also גר"א) and involves דברי סופרים and a new קיימו וקיבלו in which the new ישראל is also a new ברית that provides time and space to the concept of ישראל and access to all within it in a בית מדרש that spans all. The Zohar on the higher and lower elements of קדושה and the relationship of this to emergence in esthetics as the source of kedusha. A new Torah that allows for every word to be completely true in the sense that it is understandable as the nation develops in context. The higher level of נערות as defining Torah itself on this level. Seeing Tohu as part of Torah itself for the first time.

    The creation of the עגל along with Moshe’s response was the creation of a new process-life, in which the desire and the quest is the essence, just as original mortality created a life in which every generation is justified only because of the הליכה that it achieves over the past. This is why באו ונחזיק טובה לאבותינו שעשו את העגל, this is why evolution and death are so interrelated, for growth-milah-halicha-death are one: נערותיה הולכות-הולך למות. The “desire” of כלה is the desire built into מעשה ב.

    Four emergent elements: עדיים-שבת-ישראל-משכן relate to the emergent עגל, the one that “just popped out.” The “lower level base” of קדושה (as per the Zohar) takes over unless the שקלים are available to separate out the emergent elements, so that we do not consider the individuals.
    Relating שקלים to עגל: The source of a two-world ישראל, one in process and one emergent, is the עגל. These two levels are אעלה בקרבך which is disastrous without completion, as opposed to בלכתך עמנו, פניך הולכים, פני ילכו which is an ongoing process towards perfection, which is what Moshe requested. This is the נוש''א עון-פוקד עון אבות-וביום פקדי ופקדתי and means that the individual who is dumb enough to want to stand as a product instead of a work-in-progress is bound to exposure of מדידה ושקילה in terms of ברכה דין ועין הרע.

    The incorporation of Evil and עבודה זרה as part of the nature of Mishkan, because it is not the definition of a מקום בעלמא but of the embodiment of drives. This is what necessitates the change in the nature of memory and of the nation and of Moshe. Time and פקידא becomes the essence of the relationship which is נשיאת עון. Commitment over the long haul, and a new understanding of אומה in שמות as the ones who will go to wipe out Evil. צניעות as the essence of פקידה leading to זכרון, and the משכן זימנא being the essence of the new משה רבינו.
